These are our herdsires.  I just wanted to introduce them so you see where our focus is right now.  I would eventually like to have a top quality white male but right now we are focused on improving color genetics.  We have a variety of colors on the farm so we can appeal to a wider range of prospective farms.  I do believe that the white alpacas will eventually replace sheep in the textile industry but that's way down the road.  Once people see what a great improvement this fleece is over wool they will be wanting the natural color products to.  Right now we want to be instrumental in improving the alpacas of color.  There should eventually be enough fleece in all 16 standard fleece colors to support a year-round textile industry.  I don't know when it will happen but it is inevitable.  The important thing is that by the time it happens the deviation of fleece quality between different animals of the same color must be minute.

Pure Platinum

Agamemnon and Pure Platinum are complimentary to Prince and the Condor line.  We like working with silver grays because their underlying color is black so you get multiple possibilities for color and pattern in the cria.  It makes the delivery date even more exciting. 

Pure Platinum's cria:  Platinum Fox and TSS The Ash Hauler earned 1st place finishes at VAOBA in 2009. 

Check this guy out.  This is Ameripaca's Macho Man.  He is new to the farm this year and I can't wait till he matures.  I've got big plans for this little guy.  Macho Man es muy guapo. 

Macho is a rose gray so that makes his underlying color brown.   We started breeding him fall 2010.  Check back next year (Fall 2011) to see what he produces.
